Last night was the coldest night of the season. We hit a low of around 28 degrees and it was freezing for several hours. Our neighbor who illegally waters her lawn every morning at 8am had icicles hanging from the chain link fence. Greyson got to bundle up in his warmest fleecy outfit (a Christmas gift from Scott and Amanda and family in Buffalo) but I have noticed that his hands get cold even when the rest of him is toasty at night. So we finally got to use those little baby mittens that are supposed to keep the newborns from scratching their faces. For some reason I have resisted putting those on Greyson, even though he does scratch his face. Probably because it's been so warm until recently. The other morning he woke up with a big scratch above and below his eye, that was my wake-up call and I finally worked up the nerve to use the baby nail scissors and trim those talons. Anyways, we put those on him for his cold night last night and they worked like a charm! He didn't even seem to mind too much.
Today I went to the doctor and I got to leave G home with his daddy. That was good because I had to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours between blood draws. Then when I got home we packed up and went out for lunch and a trip to the mall. It was of course Greyson's first time at the mall and he got some really cute new outfits. He is going to be well dressed until he's about 9 months old and then we'll realize we have nothing in his size... we'd better save some of those baby gift cards!
OK, it's after dinner and I need a good cuddle on the couch with my hubby before baby wakes up from his dinner-time nap in the swing.
