Yesterday was our pregnancy test-iversary. One year since we found out I was pregnant. One year that we've known little Greyson. Crazy.
We've had a busy week. I got over my flu after just a few days of fever, yuck. Greyson and Mike stayed healthy, thankfully. So Saturday we packed up and drove off to Venice to visit my parents, grandparents, and cousin. We had a lovely visit, Greyson seemed to sleep the whole time. He slept through a Japanese steakhouse experience, and he slept through a bowling alley visit. I'm thankful because I thought the teppanyaki table might really freak him out. He sometimes gets nervous when we cook in the kitchen. We went to the beach, but the water was still too cold to dip his toes in.
Since we returned home Monday, Greyson has been out and about with me a bit. We went to UCF for our monthly visit. I got an interesting offer to do something different for a few years when I return to work. But it would mean a normal schedule and definitely full time day care for Greyson. Something to think about. I have some other bureaucratic crap to deal with at work - since I decided not to go back part-time for now. But as always it was good to see my co-workers and show off the little man.
Greyson has been a great sleeper since he hit 6 weeks back at Christmas-time. Now he's starting to wake up during the night. It's one of the signs that he might be ready for solid food. I hope that's the only issue, I'm quite worried that my milk might be less than he needs right now. In the evenings he gets very fussy and doesn't seem to be getting enough from me. I have to just trust that my body knows what it's doing. We go to see his pediatrician next week for his four-month check up and we'll get the dish (no pun intended) on solid foods. We'll probably start giving him rice cereal in the evenings and hope that helps with his bed-time and wake-up-time, too.
He just napped for about 10 minutes and is waking up already... duty calls!
