Staying afloat

It's been a rough week. Mike and/or I have been home with Greyson every day for the past two weeks. Until today, Mom to the rescue! Auntie babysitter has been sick and we're left in the lurch. We knew what we were getting into when we hired an individual to babysit, but our resources are stretched t h i n right now. I'm using up vacation time and Mike doesn't get paid when he doesn't work. So... things have been rough. Not to mention I'm still recovering from my own cold/flu, and Mike was sick for a few days, too. Grey's back to his normal happy healthy self. He's still waking up at night but we're trying some new things... mainly feeding him a nice meal at night so his tummy is full. We'll see if that's the issue, or if it's just separation anxiety, or perhaps a looong growth spurt.

We have been visiting day care centers, which is a scary and exciting prospect. He'll learn so much and meet new people and I'll get to work a normal schedule. I have to think of it as school, and he's close to walking now so it's not like he's a helpless little baby anymore. We go to the doctor on Monday, I'm so curious to see what Greyson weighs, and how tall he is. When do we start calling him tall instead of long? We have lots of questions for the doctor about sleeping and eating, I'm sure they're tired of answering those types of questions. But what else do babies do besides poop? Amazingly, I don't have any questions about that!
