Grey has been eating cheerios (or the hippie version - Morning O's) for a while now. He gobbles them up like candy and asks for more, or rather whines for more. Rice krispies (or their organic brown rice equivalent) are a big hit too. But lately we've been giving him more and more "real" food in an attempt to get him moving along the path to table food. He's got some chunky jars of baby food that have gotten mixed reviews ("what's IN here, Mom?"), and he's hesitant to pick up anything that's moist, like little cooked vegetable bits. I had a guilty moment when I tricked him into eating that piece of broccoli by simply putting it on his spoon and offering it that way. The little birdy mouth opened almost immediately. I guess he thinks only good food comes on the spoon, but that will only work once or twice until he's on to me.
Grey has also been standing up a lot, on his own. He's made it to 8 seconds with no support (a real bull rider, he is). He will stand up facing you and then lunge into your arms, sometimes taking a little step along the way. I'm betting he's walking within two weeks, but what do I know... ?
We've taking more photos and videos lately, you can catch them all over at flickr. I'd hate to miss documenting this magical time in his life. We're enjoying the little Goose more every day, if that's possible.
