Toddling

Greyson has officially taken his first steps, although I wouldn't say he's walking yet. He's very proud to stand still and take a few paces towards mom or dad before lunging into our arms. Or falling to his hands and knees and grabbing a toy. Or making it from the ottoman to the play table. Too cute.

At school, Miss Ada asked me to bring in shoes for Greyson so he could practice walking outside on the playground. I brought in our one little pair of soft-soled shoes, and they were not up to the task. So we're shoe shopping this weekend - Crazy! I want to get him a good pair of "early walker" shoes, because barefoot is best at this stage but he needs something for outdoors. But how long will they really last, and is it worth the big bucks? Maybe we'll get fitted at a real kids shoe store and then see what we can find at a consignment store in his size... I can't believe we're shoe shopping!
