Sick baby

Today the Goose is at home with his daddy. Yesterday I spent the day at home with him. He's had a fever, a cough and a sniffle, and he's been quite clingy and needy for a few days now. We went to the doctor yesterday where she pronounced him in need of some TLC and a watchful eye but otherwise ok. A little crud in the lungs but nothing needing attention, yet. So we're taking his temperature, administering motrin and tylenol, and watching for labored breathing. No one is sleeping well, and Greyson even turned down pasta and meatballs for dinner last night. So we're living in limbo until the fever comes down...

I forgot to report last week on Greyson's latest backseat accomplishments. It seems like the ride home is when he shows me his latest tricks. That's when he started doing peek-a-boo with his own hands covering his face, and it's where he recently started blowing me kisses in his little mirror. He's still facing backwards - and for safety reasons he will as long as he doesn't complain - and we flirt in the mirror a lot. Recently I blew him a kiss and he threw one right back at me, much to my surprise. I do remember the ladies at his school sometimes helping him blow me a kiss when I drop him off, I guess that's where he learned it :-) Just the thought of it helps me forgive the eight times he woke me up last night.

I can't believe he's old enough to blow kisses. That's too sweet.
