Ducky Morning, Dog Day Afternoon

Last weekend was full of animals. Saturday morning we let Mike sleep in and went to Lake Lily, where we chased ducks and met a few doggies. There was a one-footed duck, but I didn't let Grey chase him too much. He was a little slow but still seemed to do alright with the lady ducks (that's the lame duck, not Greyson).

On Sunday, we planned a fun afternoon. My work friends came over to visit and brought along their doggies! Greyson adores dogs, and my work pals don't get to see Greyson very often so this weekend gathering would accomplish a lot. Elizabeth and Maggie the Bassett Hound arrived first. Greyson was on the patio splashing in the water that we had set out for the dogs. I wish I had been filming with the video camera because his expression when he realized there was a dog in the house was just precious. Next came Renee, husband Erik, and terrier mix Roscoe. Roscoe's a little quicker and smaller than Maggie. Greyson loved them both and they all had a great time exploring our big back yard. I think they all slept well Sunday night, too.

After all that excitement, we went out for mexican food for dinner, Greyson's favorite. He loves nothing more than a chicken taco and some beans. So you can imagine how happy he was when he went to bed early Sunday night. Ducks, doggies, and tacos. A perfect weekend.
