We've started saying our "please and thank you's" lately, in the hopes that Greyson will learn to be polite by example - rather than trying to drill it into him. We have started that annoying parent tradition of asking "what do you say?" to elicit the proper responses on occasion, and it seems like Greyson's starting to get it. Hearing him say "pease" in his little voice just melts my heart, so let's hope he doesn't start taking advantage...
The best moments are when he remembers his manners (also known as his new tools for manipulation) and uses them unexpectedly. Upon our touchdown in Orlando, I pointed out how fast the plane was speeding along the runway. Greyson loved it, and as we slowed down and approached the airport terminal, he wanted to feel that rush again. "Fast. More fast!" I told him we'd have to ask the pilot if we could go fast again, and he amended his request: "Fast, pilot. Fast. Pease!"
