So, the busy season is upon us again, summer hibernation is ending. I feel like I cram half of my life into October, November, December sometimes. We're about to embark on our first family road-trip (7+ hours in the car, should be fun!), then we get back in time for Fall Festival season, Halloween, G's birthday, Thanksgiving, and the rest of the winter holidays. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it all.
So what has Greyson been up to? Getting big, getting dirty, getting his flu shot, and getting in trouble. Learning to get dressed and undressed, learning to lay down in the bathtub and listen underwater, learning to help himself to the marshmallow stash, learning his letters at school, and learning all kinds of funny new things to say.
This week I was helping him get dressed while he stood on a dining room chair. He looked up at me and said "This is a re-dic-ee-lous!"
We've had a lovely visit to the beach to see Jo and Pops, we've had a few visits from them, some trips to the park, some cooler weather which makes it nice to stop at the playground, and a few picnics in the shade. We didn't swim a whole lot this summer, but Grey got very good at paddling around in his puddle jumper floaty. He'll be ready for lessons next summer for sure!
Greyson learned to hit a baseball pitched to him, and he's a total natural. He bats righty, golfs lefty, throws with either arm and kicks with his left foot. He's just like his Daddy and will be good at sports, so we've spent a lot of time in the yard playing with baseballs and volleyballs and footballs and beach balls and playground balls.
Many more adventures await, I'll try to keep up over the busy season!
