The second church festival was the giant one right near our house, much more of a money-making venture for the big ol' catholic church. We have been almost every year since we moved into our house, but this year was the first that Greyson truly enjoyed it and experienced all the fun, from fair food to the ferris wheel. He looooved the tiny rickety baby roller coaster, he squealed and giggled on the kangaroo (see picture) which he rode without Mommy or Daddy. He rode almost all of the kiddie rides and played a lot of kiddie games. Then it was time for dinner, where we met up with cousin Joey, and on to the big-kid side of the fair.Grey did great on the ferris wheel, while cousin Joey and I took deep breaths, giggled about how nervous we were, and wiped our sweaty palms on our pant legs. We decided to try winning a brother or sister fish for Nemo, the fish Mike won at the fair last year (still alive!). We bought 20 balls for Mike and Joey to toss (attempting to get them into the fishbowls) and Greyson took over. On his second toss he won himself a new fishy, which he named Count. Then he played the ducky game and won himself a giant inflatable bat, which has has named "Bat Fire" (it's decorated with flames) and terrorizes us with. After all that, G was pooped and we headed home.
It's going to be an exciting holiday season as our newly minted three year old (more on that later) understands and gets to participate more and more in what's going on around him.
